Sydney is a great dog and a wonderful companion to Nathan & Casey. Nathan is responsible for helping this website establish! She came out west from Pennsylvania with her daughter Sally (who is deaf) because the shelter that seized these dogs were having a hard time placing a deaf dog. Sally and Syd proved to have no lasting effects of their former life which was filled with neglect. Syd now lives at the Swantown Inn Bed and Breakfast as the resident dog with Nathan and Casey.
The picture below is one of my favorites because this captures the first time in Syd’s whole life that she was able to “run free” and her expression shows it. Prior to coming to WA State she lived a life in a basement and had puppies.
