Maggie – Adopted Sept. 06
September 17th, 2006 by Brooke
Maggie came from a Spokane shelter and was said to have become seriously “depressed” since arriving there. A once happy smiling girl, she just sat on the concrete floor of her kennel and mopped. Wouldn’t hardly look up when someone would come to her door. She was transported to us and it was determined she had a very bad case of kennel cough. After some meds and TLC, Maggie was a different dog. Full of life and ready to love she was adopted to a family in Western WA who adore their new companion.

Hi, Brooke:
Just an update on Maggie. We purchased a tent trailer this spring, and have had many camping trips this summer. Maggie absolutely loves traveling with us! She will go into our “packing room” when we start to organize for a trip, and stay with the items to be sure we remember to take her along. She loves long walks through the wood, and when we are able to let her off-leash she runs through the forest like a deer!
She knows “left paw; right paw” when putting on her car safety harness, and if we take it off the hook by the back door, she knows she is going to go with us.
Maggie has blossomed into an absolutely wonderful, loving, sweet member of our family. She even loves our cat, Jasmine, and waits by the door for Jasmine to come inside. The 2 of them will run and play together in the back yard. I have never had a dog and cat who were such good friends.
