Charlie (Certified Therapy Dog)- Adopted March ‘07
March 24th, 2007 by Brooke
Charlie was in a “shelter” with hardly any human contact for 2 months (during the coldest time of year here in Pullman). The local Police Dept. fed and watered him but it really was like solitary confinement for this little gentleman. As soon as we found out about him we brought him into rescue and he is doing excellent. He is healthy and continuing to blossom. (above) Charlie the day we found him and bailed him out.

(above) Cute little Charlie when he arrived at our home. A very sweet soul that my husband says is destined for great things…
(below) The group in Bend, OR on a short hike – including myself, Dan, Sawyer (Quila), Virginia (Charlie), Suzie & Jason (Diesel’s new fam with sis, Rita). Charlie is now living in Oregon with his family who lost their 14-year-old ACD, “Petska” after a wonderful life with her. She was a certified therapy dog and we are all hoping that Charlie will follow in Petska’s special paw steps!
UPDATE 4/5/07…from Charlie’s family – We visited the local Wooden Shoe tulip fields- lovely outing on a nice day with lots going on for families as well. We got a little silly with Charlie and pictures – we’ll see if any turn out. What a poser for the camera! AND he’s turned into our “social secretary.” You ALWAYS meet people if you’re out with a dog – or a baby – but with Charlie we can hardly walk five feet (well, ok, that’s an exaggeration, but….). He has introduced us to a lot of interesting people though….and from toddlers to a spry 99 year old woman today who was quite taken with him. What a love — and we’re not seeing as much “somber” as the first few days – seems to be rather enjoying life.
