Diesel has completed his therapy dog training and will be able to enrich other’s lives with his wonderful personality. Thank you, Mr. D!

Mr. D is now living in Corvallis, Oregon with his family – including another cowdoggie “Rita”. (below) Diesel on “adoption day”. Rita is pictured in the front seat of the vehicle. I’m certain this is the way she will want things to remain :)

Diesel came from a Yakima shelter. Who knows how this boy lost his family because he certainly is a find! He is wonderful with other dogs and fine with cats. Diesel is sweet and sensitive with all people he meets. This boy will make a super addition to an active family.

UPDATE 4/1/07 – from Diesel’s family – “The longer we have D the more I feel like we’ve gotten away with robbing a bank or winning the lottery or something equally amazing. I can’t believe someone lost this dog and after that I’m just amazed that he lasted at the shelter for a month. We found Rita after she’d been in for 2 days and had to wait till her 7 days were up then snagged her immediately. He is just smart, sweet, eager to please, peace loving, and exceptionally handsome. He’s also amazingly well trained already and is actually better off leash than Rita has ever been. She didn’t have a solid heel or stay for a long time. He just gets it, and his response to any uncertainty is to come check in with big smiles and circular tail wags then Velcro himself to your leg.”

My husband and I “pre-viewed” Diesel at the shelter for Brooke to see if he was going to be adoptable. What a great guy! We almost took him home ourselves that day, he was that hard to leave behind. He was terrified at first but warmed up very quickly and you could just see the love inside of him waiting to be given… I am thrilled he found a forever home as soon as he did and hope he is loved and loves for all the days of his life. I also thought he was exceptionally handsome!
