Meet….Miss Betsy (Nortern Idaho)

Betsy is great with people and other dogs. She is crate trained and good in the house, yard and very quiet. She loves to get out and walk and should do this on a regular basis so she can keep up on her weight loss She only had a few extra lbs. to loose. Betsy is spayed and ready for a new dedicated family.

Meet….Louie (Eastern Washington)

Louie came from an overcrowded Spokane shelter and was very scared and unsure what was going to happen. He was rescued and has started to show his happy side. He is approx. 5-years-old and a very nice, mellow boy. He warms up slowly to new people but doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. Louie needs to feel safe and loved with a confident leader in his life. He enjoys walks and would be a great hiking/walking partner. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Takoda – Adopted, June ‘10

Cindy is now Takoda and living a wonderful life in Oregon. She will be training for agility and shares her home with Corgi siblings, a Malinois brother & some kitties too!

What a looker this girl is! Cindy is a young, female Australian Cattle Dog with tons of potential. She LOVES to fetch, has quickly caught on to basic obedience and would make an excellent obedience or agility prospect. Cindy will need an active family that will include her in their activities. She gets along well with other dogs and is very affectionate with people. She came from a Spokane area shelter as a stray. Cindy is spayed, current on vaccinations and ready for a family of her own. Fae – Adopted, April ‘10

Fae was adopted by a super family and she has already made a trip to the beach. Lucky dog!

Fae was adopted as a pup from our program 5-years ago. Because of illness in her family, she needs to find a new home. She is a sweet girl with lots of love to give a dedicated family. Fae loves to fetch and would be a terrific exercise buddy – she is a tad overweight right now but with consistent walks and play time, she’ll be in shape in no time. She currently lives with cats and a dog but can be very dominant with other dogs so a home with no other dogs would be best. She is very eager to please and is comfortable with anyone she meets. Cooper – Adopted, March ‘10

Copper is now “Cooper” and is living a great life with a couple who have previously adopted through ACD rescue. He becomes more comfortable each day and they are all enjoying each other greatly.

Copper is a 1.5 year old with a hard-luck story already behind him. He has lived he life tethered with little human contact or love until recently. Unphased by this neglect, Copper is shy but does warm up and is connecting to the world and all the great things it has to offer. He will need a patient, dedicated home that will offer many great experiences and love to this deserving boy. Please contact Brooke for more info and an application for Copper. Pilot – Adopted, September ‘09

Hunter now “Pilot” will tame the wild in Juneau, Alaska with lots of hikes and cool weather – he’ll love it!

Hunter is now fully recovered from parvo and enjoying puppy life. He is crate trained, loves to fetch and would be a super addition to an active family.

Roxy – Adopted, September ‘09

After surviving an overcrowded shelter & then parvo, Roxy is ready to live life to the fullest. She has a wonderful new life in Seattle where she will show her southern charm to all those she meets

May 11, 2010 – I received this wonderful photo from Roxy’s family today and had to share it. Roxy’s battle was worth every penny & sleepless night! She is pictured below doing her first big hike and it looks like she is enjoying the NW scenery
She is truly an inspiration. You can be down but with a little fight you can pull through anything. Roxy is continuing in obedience classes & is impressing everyone with how smart she is. Good girl, Roxy!

Tilly – Adopted, August ‘09

Tilly was brought to an overcrowded shelter with 5 pups and and another female adult ACD. Tilly is in foster with two of her pups – Hunter (red male) and Roxy (blue female). The pups are approx. 12-weeks of age.

Tilly is HW positive so she will be starting treatment this week and is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for spay in the next month. She is confident, sweet and very willing to please. Tilly is small, weighing approx. 25 lbs. full grown. She will be evaluated more in foster care.

Tilly was adopted by a family in Austin who will provide Tilly with all the things she was missing her previous life – care, companionship and love. Tilly has an ACD bro “Shooter” to share he new fabulous life with too! He’s quickly showing her the in’s & out’s of the good life, including how to pass through the doggie door.

Skipper – Adopted, August ‘09

Skipper is approx. 1-year and full of potential for someone who is looking for a dedicated exercise partner. Skipper loves to fetch and will run or hike with you all day. She is learning basic manners in foster care but will need continued work and dedication. Skipper is okay with most dogs but needs a strong leader who will continue to socialize her and give her direction.
