What a looker this girl is! Cindy is a young, female Australian Cattle Dog with tons of potential. She LOVES to fetch, has quickly caught on to basic obedience and would make an excellent obedience or agility prospect. Cindy will need an active family that will include her in their activities. She gets along well with other dogs and is very affectionate with people. She came from a Spokane area shelter as a stray. Cindy is spayed, current on vaccinations and ready for a family of her own. Fae was adopted by a super family and she has already made a trip to the beach. Lucky dog!

Fae was adopted as a pup from our program 5-years ago. Because of illness in her family, she needs to find a new home. She is a sweet girl with lots of love to give a dedicated family. Fae loves to fetch and would be a terrific exercise buddy – she is a tad overweight right now but with consistent walks and play time, she’ll be in shape in no time. She currently lives with cats and a dog but can be very dominant with other dogs so a home with no other dogs would be best. She is very eager to please and is comfortable with anyone she meets. Copper is a 1.5 year old with a hard-luck story already behind him. He has lived he life tethered with little human contact or love until recently. Unphased by this neglect, Copper is shy but does warm up and is connecting to the world and all the great things it has to offer. He will need a patient, dedicated home that will offer many great experiences and love to this deserving boy. Please contact Brooke for more info and an application for Copper. Hunter now “Pilot” will tame the wild in Juneau, Alaska with lots of hikes and cool weather – he’ll love it!

Hunter is now fully recovered from parvo and enjoying puppy life. He is crate trained, loves to fetch and would be a super addition to an active family.

May 11, 2010 – I received this wonderful photo from Roxy’s family today and had to share it. Roxy’s battle was worth every penny & sleepless night! She is pictured below doing her first big hike and it looks like she is enjoying the NW scenery
She is truly an inspiration. You can be down but with a little fight you can pull through anything. Roxy is continuing in obedience classes & is impressing everyone with how smart she is. Good girl, Roxy!

Tilly is HW positive so she will be starting treatment this week and is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for spay in the next month. She is confident, sweet and very willing to please. Tilly is small, weighing approx. 25 lbs. full grown. She will be evaluated more in foster care.

Tilly was adopted by a family in Austin who will provide Tilly with all the things she was missing her previous life – care, companionship and love. Tilly has an ACD bro “Shooter” to share he new fabulous life with too! He’s quickly showing her the in’s & out’s of the good life, including how to pass through the doggie door.

Dylan is approx. 1-year. He has an outstanding personality with a zest for life. He is a quick student – he knows sit and down and has a wonderful recall. He was given a herding instinct test and did very well showing great promise. Dylan loves to fetch and would be a super prospect for any dog activities that his family would like to get involved with. He does excellent with other dogs and has not met a person he doesn’t love. Like any young ACD, Dylan will need plenty of mental and physical activity to keep him happy.

Meet Sir Reginald Wigglebottom III! Or Reggie for short! His greetings are SO exuberant, his ENTIRE hiney threatens to wiggle right off his cute little body. He is one happy little boy who just about loves everyone. Even children are not immune to his wiggles and kisses. He is a bit shy around big loud men and will tend to piddle if he encounters raised voices, but with a soft, quiet approach men are acceptable. Already his is used to my husband and will greet him enthusiastically.

Quite small and petite for an ACD, (weighs in at MAYBE 28lbs) Reggie is a VERY smart young man who already knows the basics: sit, down, come, wait and is crate trained. Even his heeling is spectacular at this young age with only a few practice sessions at the dog club! He WILL need gentle positive training however! He is a very sensitive and soft dog. Gentle voices and LOTS of treats are a must.
He gets along SUPERB with my pack of 3 and is one of our only fosters so far who has shown enough manners to freely hang out with the pack. He IS playful but will stop when corrected by a pack mate if he gets too rambunctious. He gets along great with cats and scored all Ones and Twos on his Safer evaluation. He even Scored “Appropriate for All Ages’. A feat most ACDs do not achieve on this test.
He has stellar house manners and limits himself to the toys in the doggie box and leaves stray children items alone. While alone, he is gated off in our foster dog room and does wonderfully. Sometimes he protests with small whines but will stop when hushed. (Normally when it’s bedtime and he is not ready to settle in for the night..) He rides in the car very nicely and even can be trusted to wait quietly if you have to run a quick errand. I have even had him off leash at a park like area where he stays close and will come back when called.
